Kim Barkus, LCPC & Hypnotherapist
Kim Barkus is the Owner, Founder, and Clinical Director of Tabula Rasa Integrative Health Inc., which she started to serve underserved communities across Illinois. She is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Hypnotherapist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through mental health and addiction challenges. Her diverse education and background have given her extensive experience treating a wide range of conditions using integrative and personalized approaches. Kim works collaboratively with each client to create plans that honor their unique needs, with a focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit.

Daniel Burgos- LPC
Daniel Burgos earned his Master’s Degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and brings over 11 years of counseling experience. He specializes in supporting individuals with mood and anxiety disorders, sexuality and gender identity, as well as vocational challenges related to learning and developmental disabilities. Daniel integrates a variety of therapeutic tools, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation, to help clients achieve wellness and healing.

Sara Girardi, LPC
Sara is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience in both traditional and alternative healing practices. She is EMDR trained and also incorporates holistic methods such as hypnosis, Reiki, and Sound Therapy into her work. Sara’s integrative approach allows her to meet clients where they are and support their growth across mind, body, and spirit.

Rosanna Lordizabal, Mental Health Counselor
Rosanna is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping clients move forward with confidence and clarity. She draws from evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), psychodynamic, and person-centered approaches to guide individuals through their challenges and toward growth.

Kaylee Conner, Mental Health Counselor
Kaylee is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor currently welcoming new clients of all ages. She provides a safe, supportive space for individuals and families to work toward healing, personal growth, and meaningful change.

Emily Rasmus, Counseling Intern
Emily Rasmus is a graduate student at Concordia University who has completed all of her coursework and is now working directly with clients from diverse backgrounds. She is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and person-centered approaches, creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Emily believes collaboration is key and works with clients to develop strategies tailored to their unique needs, promoting personal growth and positive change.

Susie Rodriguez, LSW
Susie Rodriguez is a Licensed Social Worker with a decade of experience in Lake County’s social services. She specializes in holistic and mindfulness-based interventions and understands the economic and social challenges many families face. Susie works with children, adults, couples, and families, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered, and psychodynamic approaches. She is passionate about helping clients recognize their strengths and achieve their mental health goals.

Vanessa Gomez, LCSW
Vanessa Gomez
Vanessa Gomez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience serving children and adolescents. She previously worked as a bilingual program therapist and continues to prioritize at-risk and underserved populations. Vanessa earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Western Illinois University and her master’s degree from George Williams College in Wisconsin. She provides compassionate, culturally responsive care across diverse settings.

Joanna Candanedo, LCSW
Joanna is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over five years of experience supporting children and adults from diverse backgrounds. She earned her Master’s degree from Fordham University with a concentration in Clinical Studies, gaining a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Joanna integrates mindfulness into her practice, helping clients explore the connection between mind and body to better understand emotions and physical responses. She specializes in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma, guiding them in recognizing triggers and healing the impact of stored emotions. Joanna values each person’s unique journey and meets clients where they are to support meaningful growth and change.

Erika Odom, LMSW
Erika Odom serves as a Licensed Master Social Worker in the metro Atlanta area. She enjoys working with a wide range of individuals -children, youth and women, especially those serving in caregiving roles. It is her experiences as a caregiver for elders with dementia and support of children in foster care that inspired her to pursue clinical social work. She uses a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, to support clients across many topics. As a therapist, Erika meets people where they are, helps them to identify their strengths, and collaborates to create change.

Latisha Grier– LCSW
Latisha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 19 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples in a variety of settings. She has extensive expertise in crisis management, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma-related challenges, and psychotic disorders. Dedicated to serving underserved populations, Latisha provides compassionate care that meets clients where they are, helping them navigate economic, social, and family systems. At the heart of her approach is a belief in faith, resilience, and the power of “re-story”—empowering individuals to rediscover their strengths and create new pathways for thriving in life’s challenges.

Bianca Barkus, Client Accounts Specialist
Bianca is Tabula Rasa’s Client Accounts and Finance Specialist. She supports clients with insurance, billing, account payments, and payment plans. Whether you have questions about eligibility, co-pays, or scheduling payments, Bianca is available to assist and ensure the financial side of your care runs smoothly.

Brandi Thurmond, Team Support Specialist
Brandi Thurmond serves as Tabula Rasa’s Office and HR Support Specialist, providing essential support to both clients and staff. She assists with daily operations, human resources, and organizational needs to help the practice run smoothly and efficiently. Brandi is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where clients feel supported and staff can thrive, ensuring that the focus remains on delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Darrel Rolls, CFO
Darrel is the Chief Financial Officer at Tabula Rasa Integrative Health, where he manages financial operations and strategic planning to ensure sustainable growth. With over 20 years of experience in healthcare finance and business leadership, he brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to every decision. Darrel is passionate about aligning financial strategy with Tabula Rasa’s mission of holistic healing and community impact. Outside of work, he enjoys mentoring future leaders and exploring the outdoors with his family.
